Reflection
A small dedicated corner can become a steady refuge from constant stimulation. You don't need a whole room—just a deliberately chosen spot where light, sightlines, and surface noise support calm.
Start by noticing where you naturally pause: a window seat, a quiet hallway niche, or an underused chair. Clear that area of excess, add one or two tactile comforts (a soft throw, a small lamp, a tray for a cup), and keep items minimal so the space invites rest rather than tasks.
Protect the time and signal it to others: set brief regular slots, use a closed-door cue or a simple sign, and build a short ritual for arrival and departure to mark the change in pace. Over weeks the small space becomes easier to enter, and the habit of pausing becomes the real gift.
