Reflection
A city need not be loud to be alive. Choosing a compact neighborhood, moving at a slower pace and accepting unstructured hours lets an introvert notice small comforts: a shaded bench, a quiet bookshop, the rhythm of a tram. These are the details that make a trip feel like a deliberate pause rather than a performance.
Plan with margin. Aim for one meaningful activity a day, book accommodations in calmer corners, and favor late-morning starts to avoid peak crowds. Seek out smaller museums, markets with space to wander, and cafés with windows you can watch from; these choices preserve energy and let presence deepen.
Treat transitions as part of the break. Walk between places when you can, keep a simple evening ritual—tea, a short journal entry, a podcast—and give yourself permission to decline or shorten social plans. Returning home should feel like a slow landing, not an abrupt return to noise.
