Reflection
Boundaries are small, practical decisions that keep your energy available for what matters. For introverts, they often look like limits on time, touchpoints, and favors—more like gentle gates than defensive walls.
Start with one tiny experiment: decide in advance how long you'll stay at an event, prepare a brief exit line, or choose a real yes and a practiced no. Use simple signals you feel comfortable with—an email template, a pair of headphones, or a scheduled break—to reduce decision fatigue.
Communicating a boundary can be both firm and kind: name the need, offer an alternative when appropriate, and repeat the message without apology if necessary. Over time these small routines make social life less draining and more predictable.
