Reflection
Soft boundaries are modest, reversible limits you place around your attention, time, and environment. They differ from rigid rules: they bend when circumstances require yet still signal what you need to protect your focus.
Choose small, concrete examples that reduce friction—forty-minute uninterrupted blocks, a closed door or headphones as a physical cue, or a short phrase to decline interruptions. The point is clarity and simplicity so the boundary is easy to keep and easy to change.
Treat each boundary as an experiment: try one for a week, observe how it affects your energy and work, then tweak. Communicate briefly and kindly, and remember that boundaries serve your rhythms rather than proving anything to others.
