Reflection
There is value in a small, solitary ritual before work: the measured steps of warming a cup, grinding or scooping beans, the gentle steam rising. For many introverts, the predictability and small sensory pleasures of coffee offer a low-stimulation way to shift from private time to focused effort.
Create a short sequence you can repeat: choose a favorite mug, set the kettle or machine, brew with care, and pour deliberately. Keep your phone out of sight, limit decisions to a single task, and treat the first sip as a settling point rather than a cue to rush.
Over time the ritual becomes a signal to your attention system—a quiet bridge into concentrated work without needing external input. Aim for 5–15 minutes and adjust elements to suit your temperament: shorter on busy days, slower when you need extra calm.
